Strength shows not only the ability to persist but also the ability to start over.
Someone told me setbacks are necessary for elevation. So true in the period since I’ve been gone. It’s been nine months since I’ve written a post. It feels like years have passed since I put pen to paper, sat down, and wrote what’s in my heart and mind. First of all, I would like to send a sincere thank you to the people who are reading this. I appreciate you all.
When I last wrote, I was not feeling the blog’s direction. Things got complicated, so I decided to step away. I wanted to get my story out, and whoever resonates with it, cool. If not, that’s okay. There’s something for everyone.

So… That’s what I’ll be doing here. Post my blog to send out a picture through social media, letting people know there is a new blog post.
I decided to get back to the blog because it’s healing for me to write down the events in my life. Doing this blog forces me to sit and reflect on what is going on in my life. I often don’t take the time to do this, and I miss that. Additionally, it’s important to share my story because I’m authentic and don’t hold anything back.
Someone may be struggling, and my words could help others. Also, many don’t know what it is like to live abroad and this journey offers a glimpse into ex-pat life.
As far as my life goes, it has been a doozy over the past nine months. I moved into a new apartment, got a new job as a professor out here in Taiwan, and lost some friends but made some new ones along the way. I also was sick with some sort of parasite for about two months, but I’m feeling better now.
Thank God. I’ll keep it short and sweet today, but it feels good to be back.
